Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a Central Railway contract valued at over Rs 2.72 billion, further strengthening its project pipeline for FY 2025–26.
The project involves the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of traction substations, sectioning posts (SPs), and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs) across the Daund–Solapur sections of Central Railway. The EPC-based contract is to be executed within 24 months and aims to meet a 3,000 MT loading target.
RVNL clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group have any interest in Central Railway, and the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.
At around 1:27 PM, RVNL shares were trading marginally lower at Rs 317.70 on the NSE, compared with the previous close of Rs 317.80. The counter recorded an intraday high of Rs 319.80 and a low of Rs 314.
The latest contract follows three orders bagged in October, including a major Rs 1655 million infrastructure project from North Eastern Railway under regular business operations.
