RailTel Secures Rs 128.5 Million Healthcare IT Contract
Under the agreement RailTel will undertake customisation, integration, deployment, implementation and maintenance of multiple digital systems across the institute. The scope includes a hospital information management system, a hospital fire safety management system, student and academic activity systems, accounts and campus management systems and development and maintenance of the MGIMS website. The work is aimed at strengthening operational resilience and administrative efficiency across clinical and campus functions. The programme will cover data migration, user training and post deployment support to ensure continuity of services.
The estimated value of the contract is Rs 128.5 mn excluding taxes and the company will execute the project over an extended timeline. Completion is scheduled for 31 March 2032 and the work order was received at 10:30 AM on one April 2026. RailTel has confirmed that the contract is domestic in nature with no promoter or related party interest. The disclosure underscores the company’s compliance with regulatory norms and its focus on institutional customers.
The implementation is expected to enhance patient services, bolster safety systems and streamline campus administration through integrated digital workflows. The project highlights RailTel’s expanding presence in healthcare and education technology solutions and its capability to deliver end to end digital projects for public sector institutes. Stakeholders will monitor progress as the firm moves to operationalise the new systems across the MGIMS campus.
