RailTel Wins Rs 1.02bn PFMS IT Infrastructure Contract
In a regulatory filing, RailTel said the mandate covers the setting up and managed operations of IT systems, including data centre and disaster recovery facilities. The scope of work also includes security operations centre services and data centre colocation. The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, will remain valid until January 7, 2031.
The company clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority, and that the order does not constitute a related-party transaction.
The latest win adds to RailTel’s growing order book of large government-led IT and digital infrastructure projects, strengthening its presence across data centres, cloud services, cyber security and managed services for public sector clients.
Last week, the company had secured a significantly larger Rs 5.67 billion order from the Assam Health Infrastructure Development and Management Society for a project scheduled for completion by January 31, 2032.
