RailTel Corporation of India has announced that it has secured a project management consultancy (PMC) contract worth Rs 131.6 million from the Rajasthan Skill & Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC). The contract is scheduled for completion by 22 August 2027.

The award has been made by a domestic entity, with no involvement or interest from RailTel’s promoter, promoter group, or group companies. The company confirmed that the agreement does not constitute a related-party transaction and has been executed on an arm’s length basis.

RailTel, a Navratna public sector undertaking, is among India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers, with an extensive Pan-India optical fibre network.

Financially, the company reported strong results for Q1 FY26, with standalone net profit rising 35.81 per cent to Rs 661 million, compared with Rs 487 million in Q1 FY25. Revenue from operations grew 33.27 per cent year-on-year to Rs 7.44 billion.

Despite the announcement, RailTel’s shares slipped 0.65 per cent to Rs 352.20 on the BSE. The contract win further strengthens the company’s presence in consultancy services alongside its core telecom infrastructure operations.
