Railways Review Plans for Nashik Simhastha 2027

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu reviewed preparations for the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha 2027. Senior railway officials, including the GM of Central Railway and DRM of Bhusaval division, briefed the ministers on planning and execution.
Indian Railways has prepared an integrated plan to enhance connectivity and manage passenger traffic at five key stations near the Mela area – Nashik Road, Devlali, Odha, Kherwadi and Kasbe Sukene.
Projects worth over Rs 1,011 crore include the construction of new platforms, extension of existing platforms, foot overbridges, stabling lines, coach examination facilities, and modern passenger amenities such as toilets, water tanks, and information systems.
Officials confirmed that 33 out of 65 proposed works have already been sanctioned, with a goal to complete all upgrades two years before the event to ensure smooth travel for millions of pilgrims.
