Rs 1.49 Billion Cleared for Odisha Rail Line Upgrade

The Railways Ministry has approved a Rs 1.49 billion project to build a fourth railway line between Ranital Link Cabin and Bhadrak station in Odisha, spanning 5.06 km. Part of the high-density Howrah–Chennai corridor, the new line will boost operational efficiency and reduce congestion. According to East Coast Railway, it will ease port-bound freight traffic to Dhamra and Paradeep ports, allowing smoother passenger and express train movement on one of India’s busiest railway routes.
