RVNL Bags Rs 2.01 Billion Wagon Overhaul Project
The project involves the construction of a wagon POH workshop at Kantabanji with a capacity to overhaul 200 wagons. The contract is scheduled to be executed over a period of 18 months.
Separately, RVNL has also received a letter of acceptance for another contract valued at Rs 1.45 billion from Southern Railway. This project covers the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Scott-connected traction substations, power quality equipment, switching posts, a 2×25 kV feeding system, along with SCADA and automatic fault locator systems.
The Southern Railway contract relates to the Jolarpettai–Salem section of the Salem division and is part of efforts to strengthen railway electrification and power infrastructure.
The latest order wins further reinforce RVNL’s position as a key executing agency for railway infrastructure projects across India.
