The South Central Railway (SCR) has launched a Biometric Sign-on system for its Ticket Checking Staff, beginning with six Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) lobbies at Secunderabad, Kacheguda, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded. Designed to streamline operations and enhance transparency, the initiative will soon be extended to all 73 TTE lobbies across the Zone.

Previously, ticket checking staff signed on and off using a username and password. To simplify the login process, an Aadhaar-based biometric system has now been introduced. Fingerprint devices integrated into the TTE lobby application are connected with the C-DAC portal, ensuring that staff are physically present at both source and destination stations while allowing real-time recording of login and logout timings.
