Seventh Steel Bridge Completed for Bullet Train Project in Gujarat

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has successfully launched a 70-metre-long steel bridge over the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) tracks on the outskirts of Vadodara. This marks the seventh steel bridge completed on the Gujarat stretch of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor.

The bridge, constructed across two freight corridor tracks, was installed within 12 hours using intermittent traffic blocks, showcasing the project's focus on efficiency and minimal disruption.

Of the 28 steel bridges planned along the entire Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail route, 17 will be in Gujarat. In addition, Gujarat will house 21 river bridges, 14 of which have already been completed.

The latest bridge milestone reflects the steady progress of India’s first bullet train corridor, enhancing connectivity and reinforcing infrastructure development in the region.
