Siemens secures Rs.12.3 billion share in bullet train signalling Deal

Siemens, as part of a consortium, has secured a Rs.12.3 billion share in a Rs.41 billion contract awarded by the National High Speed Rail Corporation, as per news reports. The contract involves designing, installing, and maintaining advanced signalling and telecom systems for India’s first bullet train corridor. Siemens will deploy European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 technology, widely used across 50 countries. The project will be completed in 4.5 years, with Siemens offering 15 years of maintenance support.
