Vande Bharat service to start between Lucknow & Patna

The Vande Bharat Express train service is set to start between Lucknow and Patna. The train will be operating from Lucknow to Patna via Sultanpur and Varanasi. The Northern Railway Lucknow Division has wrapped up the route survey for the service.

The survey was completed by the Lucknow and Moradabad divisions of Northern Railway about a month ago. The date of the launch, however, has yet to be finalised, reports said.

According to reports, rake manufacturing work for the Lucknow-Patna Vande Bharat Express has been allotted to the Rail Coach Factory by the Railway board. The notification regarding the same will likely be issued soon, reports added. Lucknow to Patna is likely to be morning-hour service.

The new Vande Bharat's time table will likely depend on the schedules of other trains running on that route, reports said citing a senior railways official. Vande Bharat, launched in 2019, is a semi-high-speed popular train service.
