Vande Bharat trains for Jammu and Kashmir

In the upcoming year, the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) plans to launch Vande Bharat trains with heating capabilities for the Jammu and Kashmir region.

B G Mallya, the General Manager of ICF, said that these upcoming trains will include heating amenities and water connections in their compartments after raising the national flag during Independence Day festivities.

Additionally, specialized pipes will be incorporated to avoid freezing and breakage.

This project fits well with IF's plan to develop a variety of Vande Bharat trains. Mallya highlighted, "This year, ICF plans to produce 3,241 coaches in around 30 versions. In order to provide a similar travel experience to Vande Bharat trains in non-AC segments, this also comprises two push-pull trains with LHB coaches.
