It's noteworthy that the cost for the rejuvenation of these 37 stations within West Bengal itself amounts to Rs 15.03 billion, while the comprehensive budget for the entire project stands at Rs 244.70 billion.
The overarching objective of this redevelopment endeavour involves the installation of contemporary passenger facilities. Additionally, a focus will be placed on optimising traffic flow, promoting seamless inter-modal connectivity, and erecting clear and informative signage for passenger guidance. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has revealed that the architectural design of the station buildings will be influenced by local culture, heritage, and traditional architecture.
