Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has secured a significant contract worth Rs 20.15 billion from Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (SMPA) for the development of port infrastructure. The contract, spanning a period of five years, involves extensive dredging and infrastructure enhancement activities at the port.

Under the terms of the contract, DCIL will undertake crucial dredging operations to deepen and maintain navigational channels, ensuring smooth passage for vessels entering and exiting the port. Additionally, infrastructure upgrades will be implemented to enhance the port's operational efficiency and capacity.
