Deendayal Port Goes Live With Enterprise Business System

Deendayal Port Authority has gone fully live with all modules of its Enterprise Business System, marking a major milestone in the port’s digital transformation programme.

The launch was attended by Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh and Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta, along with senior officials from the port authority, EBS implementation teams and Tech Mahindra, according to an official release. The EBS implementation is expected to lower the cost of doing business, improve supply chain visibility and enhance ease of doing business for port users and other stakeholders.

Earlier, on December 15, 2025, Vijay Kumar, Secretary at the Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways, visited Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla, Gujarat, where he was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by the CISF unit. During the visit, the port chairman briefed the secretary on the port’s operational performance, recent achievements and ongoing as well as upcoming development initiatives aimed at improving capacity, efficiency and sustainability.

The secretary appreciated the port’s consistent growth trajectory and its strategic importance in strengthening India’s maritime and logistics ecosystem. A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration and foundation stone laying for multiple infrastructure projects by the port authority, with a combined project outlay of Rs 1.93 billion. These initiatives are expected to enhance port infrastructure and accelerate cargo handling capacity.
