Essex Marine Ltd (the Company) has commenced integrated cold chain logistics operations under the brand DE SENS COLDSTORE, marking a strategic transition from a rental-based cold storage model to an end-to-end cold chain solutions platform. The move brings storage, transport and distribution into a single operational framework controlled by the Company. The shift is intended to strengthen commercial responsibility and customer engagement.

The Company will directly provide comprehensive cold chain logistics services including storage, transportation and distribution, with exclusive responsibility for operations, customer interaction and billing. An experienced operations team from Logistore has been engaged to supply operational expertise and manpower, while ownership, branding and overall control remain with the Company. This arrangement seeks to combine in-house commercial control with outsourced operational support.

As part of the initial implementation phase, the Company proposes to lease four refrigerated vehicles and to purchase one 12 t refrigerated truck to create the core of its in-house fleet. Additional refrigerated vehicles are slated for induction over the next four to six months to scale capacity in line with demand. Fleet growth will support route coverage and timely distribution across regions.

The Company also proposes to expand operations into the North-Eastern region of India, commencing with Siliguri followed by Guwahati, to strengthen regional distribution. The strategic expansion is expected to enhance logistics-driven revenues in the next financial year and to improve supply chain efficiencies. The Company aims to position DE SENS COLDSTORE as a professionally managed cold chain solutions provider.

Essex Marine Ltd is an integrated seafood processor and exporter operating across procurement, processing and overseas distribution, and exports frozen fish and shrimps to multiple international markets, drawing on over 16 years of experience.
