India, Russia Hold Talks To Boost Maritime Cooperation
The discussions reaffirmed the long-standing Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia, rooted in mutual trust, respect and a shared vision for sustained economic and strategic engagement. Both sides acknowledged the strong guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin, which continues to shape and deepen the bilateral relationship.
The meeting covered prospective collaboration across shipbuilding, trade and economic engagement, and scientific and technical cooperation. Delegations reviewed ongoing programmes and identified new areas for synergy in maritime development.
Both countries expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive and forward-looking dialogue and reiterated their commitment to strengthening cooperation in shipbuilding, port development, maritime logistics, Arctic operations, research and training.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to build a more resilient, efficient and sustainable maritime partnership—one that advances long-term prosperity for both nations and enhances regional and global connectivity.
