Paradip Port, AM/NS Ink Pact For Berth Mechanisation

Paradip Port Authority (PPA) and AM/NS Ports have signed a 30-year concession agreement for the mechanisation of berth CQ-III to handle dry bulk cargo, according to officials.
The project will facilitate the shipment of iron ore pellets produced by AM/NS India through a fully mechanised conveying system and a ship loader with advanced cargo handling facilities, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said.
Executed by Himanshu Sekhar Rout, Chief Engineer of PPA, and Subhakant Dash from AM/NS Ports, the agreement was signed in the presence of PL Haranadh, Chairman of PPA. Haranadh noted that the project would significantly improve berth productivity while promoting eco-friendly coastal cargo handling.

The mechanisation of CQ-III berth will reinforce our commitment to operational excellence and environmental sustainability.”
The Ministry added that the project underscores a long-term commitment to sustainable, efficient port operations and will help transform Paradip Port into a world-class hub while enhancing AM/NS India’s logistics capabilities.
