Sonowal Sets Ambitious 100-Day Targets for Ports Ministry

Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, has swiftly initiated efforts to set ambitious targets for the Ministry as part of the 100-day goals under the Modi 3.0 government. In a comprehensive workshop with Ministry officials, Sonowal emphasized the need for a robust roadmap to develop a network of modern, efficient ports that will drive the nation's progress and prosperity.

Joined by MoPSW Secretary TK Ramachandran, Joint Secretaries, Directors, and other officials, Sonowal reviewed the set targets and pledged full support to ensure their realization. He underscored the Ministry's critical role in India's economic growth and the necessity of adopting cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices to keep the maritime sector competitive.

"Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, we are on the path to becoming one of the top 3 global economies. This significant achievement requires us to continuously innovate and enhance the performance of our ports," Sonowal remarked. He also highlighted the importance of strategic collaborations and efficient administration in achieving these goals.

The workshop fostered an environment of collaboration and transparency, with Sonowal urging the team to prioritize programs and initiatives that align with the targets for the Modi 3.0 government's first 100 days. This milestone, he noted, is just the beginning of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to build capacity, improve quality, and drive performance in India's maritime sector.
