Swan Defence and Heavy Industries (SDHI) has signed a strategic MoU with Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) to jointly boost commercial shipbuilding and offshore infrastructure. The agreement, signed at GRSE Bhavan on April 7, 2025, aims to combine both firms' strengths in design, infrastructure, and execution to create a cost-effective, scalable model for vessel construction. The partnership supports the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and includes co-development of vessel platforms, shared project management, and joint sourcing strategies. SDHI, formerly Reliance Naval, operates India’s largest private shipyard and continues to play a crucial role in strengthening the nation’s maritime and defence sectors.
