The session on AI in Policy and Practice featured presentations by the VOC Port, CoRover AI, RailTel, Central Electronics Limited and Grant Thornton that addressed decision support systems, IoT monitoring and conversational AI platforms. Deliberations examined measurable operational outcomes, security technologies and the challenges of integrating new AI systems with existing port processes while preserving safety and resilience.

A further session on the future of maritime technology discussed digital twins, AI powered sensors, blockchain enabled systems and automated berth optimisation alongside regulatory choices shaping next generation port infrastructure. The closing discussion addressed human AI synergy, workforce preparedness and reskilling strategies and reaffirmed the continuing importance of human oversight for data quality and operational safety. Organisers confirmed that VOC Port will serve as a testbed for human centric AI adoption and that a panel on AI powered ports will be held at the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 on February 17 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
