DroneAcharya Wins Rs 70.12 Mn Army Order
12 Nov 2025 CW Team
DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations has announced that it has received work orders worth Rs 70.12 million from the Indian Army – Ministry of Defence for the supply of First Person View (FPV) Drones.
DroneAcharya emerged as the sole company to successfully qualify in the Indian Army’s rigorous technical and field trials, conducted under challenging operational conditions. The company’s FPV platforms — FPV Digital and FPV Analogue — were the only systems that met all performance benchmarks and mission-specific customization requirements established by the Army.
Following the successful evaluation, DroneAcharya was awarded the order for the supply of FPV drones. Recognizing the superior performance, reliability, and quality of these systems, the Indian Army subsequently expanded the order by 25% across both categories, further increasing the total supply quantity.
The FPV drones under this contract are indigenously designed for long-range operations and equipped with secure real-time video transmission, precision payload delivery, and dual-layer electronic and mechanical safety systems to ensure operational reliability during both training and tactical missions.
This order represents a significant milestone in DroneAcharya’s journey toward strengthening India’s self-reliance in defence drone technologies. It underscores the company’s technological leadership, manufacturing excellence, and commitment to innovation in the FPV domain. The successful execution of this project is expected to enhance DroneAcharya’s order book, reinforce its position within India’s defence technology ecosystem, and contribute positively to its growth trajectory.
