Indian Naval Ships Delhi, Shakti, Satpura, and Kiltan of the Eastern Fleet, led by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF), concluded their port call to Singapore from 16–19 July 2025 as part of the Indian Navy’s operational deployment to South East Asia.
The visit reinforced bilateral ties and maritime collaboration in the Indo-Pacific. Rear Admiral Menon met the High Commissioner of India to Singapore and the Fleet Commander of the Republic of Singapore Navy to discuss ways to strengthen naval cooperation. He also engaged with the academic community to share the Indian Navy’s perspective on maritime security and regional developments.
A wreath-laying ceremony at the Kranji War Memorial was held to honour Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War II. Naval personnel from both nations participated in professional exchanges, cross-deck visits, and sports activities to enhance interoperability and mutual understanding.
A deck reception hosted aboard INS Shakti welcomed Republic of Singapore Navy personnel, diplomats, and Indian diaspora, underlining the growing maritime partnership.
The port visit reflects the Indian Navy’s commitment to regional stability and aligns with India’s SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision for the Indo-Pacific.
