ideaForge Secures Strong Drone Orders And Expands US Presence
The company recorded sustained momentum through the quarter, resulting in additional order bookings across defence and civil customers. ideaForge has completed over 150,000 end-customer flights in FY26 year-to-date and more than 850,000 flights cumulatively, reflecting growing customer confidence in its technology and the expanding value of operational experience.
Beyond defence, ideaForge made progress in its non-defence business by collaborating with government bodies and private enterprises to deliver UAV-based solutions across civil and industrial use cases. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with C-DAC to integrate drones into India’s emergency response network. In addition, the formation of its joint venture with First Brench Inc. in the previous quarter has strengthened its market access in the United States.
Commenting on the performance, Ankit Mehta, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of ideaForge, said FY26 has been a defining year for the company, with the highest-ever quarterly order inflow. He noted that the company expects to deliver around 340–450 units of open orders in Q4 FY26 and aims to further strengthen execution capabilities.
The broader industry environment remains favourable, driven by recent global conflicts and increased focus on indigenous defence capabilities. In India, the shift towards decentralised command-level purchases and faster procurement processes has accelerated demand for domestic drone solutions. Recent reports of fresh procurement outlays of approximately Rs 200 billion signal a strong, multi-year demand pipeline for the domestic drone industry.
With indigenous platforms, subsystems and full-stack technology, ideaForge is expanding investments in research and development and reinforcing leadership in India’s drone ecosystem. Policy developments such as production-linked incentives and research and development incentives for drones are also expected to provide positive momentum for the sector.
