India and Tanzania Sign MoU to Strengthen Defence Cooperation
The roadmap identifies areas such as military training, capacity building, maritime cooperation, and defence industry collaboration. It also promotes technology sharing, joint exercises, and participation in peacekeeping operations.
Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with African nations, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region, through shared values of peace and stability.
The two ministers also reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives under the previous defence cooperation framework and discussed new opportunities for joint development and manufacturing.
The renewed agreement builds on India’s growing defence engagement with Africa and supports the vision of regional self-reliance and mutual security.
