The 5th Meeting of the Working Group on Military Cooperation under the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) was held at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, on 28–29 October 2025.

The meeting was co-chaired by Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, and Lt Gen Dylevsky Igor Nikolayevich, Deputy Chief of Main Operations, Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia.

Discussions centred on enhancing existing defence engagements and exploring new initiatives within the framework of the bilateral cooperation mechanism.

The Working Group serves as an institutional platform to advance defence collaboration through regular interactions between the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the Main Directorate of International Military Cooperation, Ministry of Defence, Russia.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic military ties, building on decades of strong defence partnership between India and Russia.
