JTL Defence Reports Turnaround In Fourth Quarter

The company reported results for the fourth quarter of FY26 with revenue from operations of Rs. 152 million (mn), reflecting a sharp scale-up on both year on year and quarter on quarter bases. EBITDA rose to Rs. 37 mn in the fourth quarter of FY26 from Rs. 12 mn in the third quarter of FY26 and a loss of Rs. seven mn in the fourth quarter of FY25. Profit after tax turned positive at Rs. 17 mn in the quarter compared with a loss of Rs. three mn in the third quarter of FY26 and a loss of Rs. 20 mn in the comparable quarter last year.

Total sales volume stood at 164 tonne (t) in the fourth quarter, with job work volume of 58 t and total processing volume of 222 t during the quarter; total production of finished goods was 206 t. The company attributed the improvement to higher capacity utilisation and operating efficiencies that supported the ramp-up in activity.

For the full year FY26 revenue from operations was Rs. 193 mn, up from Rs. 10 mn in FY25, representing approximately 18.3 times year on year growth. EBITDA for FY26 turned positive at Rs. 42 mn versus a loss of Rs. 12 mn in FY25, while profit after tax was Rs. three mn compared with a loss of Rs. 64 mn in the prior year, marking a substantial year on year improvement.

Management said the quarter marked the first full period following completion of the NCLT process and transition to new management, and that the turnaround was driven by focused execution and a calibrated ramp-up. The team indicated it will continue to focus on optimising plant operations, enhancing throughput and increasing the share of value-added products, which is expected to support margin expansion. JTL Defence Limited operates a manufacturing facility at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh and supplies a diversified range of copper, brass and alloy-based products to domestic and international customers including the Middle East and Africa.
