RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a major services order from the Ministry of Defence, strengthening its order book and reinforcing its role in India’s strategic communications infrastructure.

In a regulatory filing, RailTel said it has received a domestic work order valued at approximately Rs 1,407.1 million for providing services under an annual maintenance contract. The long-term contract is scheduled to be executed over several years, with completion targeted by January 30, 2031. The company confirmed that the order does not constitute a related-party transaction and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity. The work order was received on January 21, 2026.

Earlier this month, RailTel secured another contract worth around Rs 1,018.2 million from the Public Financial Management System to establish and manage critical information technology infrastructure. The company also won a large-scale order valued at approximately Rs 5,670 million from the Assam Health Infrastructure Development and Management Society for a major project scheduled for completion by January 31, 2032.

These contract wins highlight RailTel’s expanding footprint across defence, government and digital infrastructure segments, underlining its growing importance in India’s digital transformation and public sector technology ecosystem.
