South Asia has drafted a Rs 1,313.74 crore Smart City proposal for Panaji.Under this proposal, 2 sq km has been identified for retrofitting and redevelopment based on public suggestions. The areas under consideration include the heritage area of Mala, Sao Tome, Fontainhas and a part of Altinho.The Smart City proposal has also stressed upon an efficient and smart public transport system that includes hop-on, hop-off buses, and cycle-sharing.
