Rourkela Smart City Reviews Progress, Sets New Development Targets

The Rourkela Smart City Board convened its 31st meeting recently under the chairmanship of Anu Garg to assess the progress of major projects and plan forthcoming development initiatives. The review placed strong focus on expediting the completion of the Integrated Command and Control Centre and acknowledged the encouraging advancement of the ‘rOURkela One’ project.

The board also called for strengthened efforts to enhance the Tribal Museum, particularly its content development, tribal hut displays and craft-based elements. Updates were presented on the large recreation park and the Vedvyas heritage development, with members outlining the need for clear timelines and coordinated execution.

Senior officials and stakeholders, including Usha Padhee and Subhankar Mohapatra, participated in the discussions, guiding priorities for the next phase of Smart City implementation.
