Blue Dart Unveils Green Ground Hub in Haryana to Boost Express Network

Blue Dart, South Asia’s premier express air and integrated logistics company, has inaugurated its largest Green Integrated Ground Hub in Pataudi, Haryana. The new facility consolidates multiple operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and sustainability across its nationwide network.

Located 50 km from New Delhi airport, the Pataudi hub offers seamless multimodal connectivity with Delhi-NCR and major expressways. Its strategic position reduces vehicle movement by 30% and improves throughput speed by 10%, strengthening North India’s logistics backbone.

Spread over 50,558 sqm, the state-of-the-art facility unifies e-commerce, domestic express, and ground operations. With an auto sorter capacity of 200,000 shipments per day and handling capacity of 2,283 tons daily, it is designed for future demand up to 2033. Advanced automation, motorised conveyors, and optimised handovers enhance productivity by up to 15%.

The hub features key GoGreen initiatives including a 600 KVA rooftop solar plant, EV charging infrastructure, and natural skylights to minimise energy use. By integrating operations and cutting vehicle trips, Blue Dart significantly reduces emissions, supporting its 2050 net-zero vision.

According to Balfour Manuel, Managing Director, Blue Dart, the facility exemplifies “sustainability, automation, and scalability,” enabling faster and more reliable deliveries while contributing to India’s economic and environmental goals.

With over 250 ground routes, eight dedicated freighters, and coverage of 19,000 pin codes, Blue Dart continues to strengthen its infrastructure to meet India’s growing logistics needs.
