CIDCO Floats EOI For Integrated Logistics Park In Navi Mumbai

City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has floated an expression of interest (EOI) for an integrated logistics park in Navi Mumbai, signalling a move to bolster the city’s freight handling and supply chain capacities. The notice invites developers and logistics operators to present proposals for the planning, development and operation of a comprehensive logistics hub. The authority has framed the EOI as part of its broader infrastructure agenda for the node, aligning with strategies to optimise land use and urban logistics. Stakeholders are being asked to submit credentials and conceptual approaches that demonstrate technical capability and operational experience.

The integrated logistics park is intended to combine warehousing, distribution yards and support facilities within a planned campus that facilitates multimodal connectivity. The EOI asks bidders to address road, rail and last mile interface and include provisions for handling temperature controlled goods and value added services. The design emphasis is on efficient cargo movement, end to end supply chain integration and reduction of urban freight congestion. Developers will be required to outline logistics technology adoption and sustainability measures within their submissions.

The project is presented as a means to strengthen regional trade linkages and improve service levels for manufacturers, retailers and e commerce fulfilment networks. It is framed to generate employment across construction, operations and ancillary services while enhancing the reliability of goods movement into and out of the metropolitan area. The park is also described as supportive of urban decongestion by consolidating freight activities away from congested zones.

The EOI sets out the process for shortlisting and subsequent procurement stages, with detailed terms to be made available to prospective applicants. The authority will assess experience, financial capacity and proposed operational models before inviting detailed bids. Observers note that delivery of an integrated logistics park is an integral element in contemporary urban planning to accommodate growing freight needs without compromising residential and commercial development.
