CWC and MADC to Build Logistics Park in MIHAN
The park will feature advanced, technology driven warehousing infrastructure capable of handling a wide range of cargo and will provide integrated connectivity across road, rail and air networks to enable faster movement of goods. Plans include modern storage systems and dedicated cold chain infrastructure for perishable goods and pharmaceuticals, reflecting growing demand from global supply chains. Being technology driven, the facility is expected to improve handling efficiency and reduce turnaround times for exporters and importers.
Location within a Special Economic Zone will allow single window customs clearance to streamline import export processes and to reduce transit delays for traders using the facility. Nagpur's geographic centre position is expected to be further consolidated as a logistics hub through reduced logistics costs and improved supply chain efficiency, supporting national efforts to boost manufacturing competitiveness and integrate with global trade. The project has been described by officials as an initiative to achieve coordinated logistics development between central and state agencies.
The development is also expected to create employment opportunities across logistics, supply chain and allied sectors, offering benefits to local youth and to related businesses. Authorities anticipate ancillary services and private investment to follow the establishment of the park, contributing to the state economy. CWC and MADC will continue to coordinate implementation and to monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of the planned infrastructure.
