DP World Launches Global Clubhouse Initiative in India
The launch marks the second milestone in the programme, following the first Clubhouse opening in Cape Town earlier this year. Each Clubhouse is built using repurposed shipping containers and designed to meet local needs—offering golf equipment, covered training spaces, and mentorship opportunities to nurture both sporting and life skills. The facilities serve as permanent community resources for young golfers.
As part of its association with the DP World India Championship, DP World has provided a Clubhouse to the ZEN GOLF Range & Academy in Gurugram, a community-driven organisation dedicated to promoting inclusivity in golf. Ahead of the tournament, a pop-up Clubhouse experience was also unveiled at Delhi Golf Club’s Fan Zone, featuring mini-golf, simulators, and chipping challenges, where fans and students from ZEN GOLF participated alongside Ryder Cup stars Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood.
Daniel van Otterdijk, Group Chief Communications Officer, DP World, said, “We’re incredibly proud to partner with ZEN GOLF Range & Academy and bring the DP World Clubhouse initiative to India. At DP World, we’re using the power of logistics to create opportunities—giving new life to our containers and opening new doors for communities to connect with golf.”
Hemant Kumar Ruia, Country Manager, DP World India Subcontinent, added, “Sport grows when access meets purpose. By repurposing our assets to support grassroots golf, we’re helping young talent develop the skills and mindset to pursue their passion for sport.”
Shyam Grover, Managing Director, ZEN GOLF Range & Academy, said, “This new space will make a real difference to our academy—giving our students access to better facilities, new technology, and a place they can feel inspired to grow.”
The DP World Clubhouse initiative will continue to expand globally, aligning with key moments in the golf calendar as part of DP World’s role as title partner of the DP World Tour and Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup.
