Gateway Distriparks Launches First Double Stack Train from Ankleshwar
The milestone marks GDL’s entry into domestic services from Ankleshwar to North India, strengthening its integrated logistics network. By connecting western and northern industrial hubs, the company aims to enhance multimodal connectivity and operational efficiency.
“There is tremendous potential to expand this service, and we are truly excited for what lies ahead,” said Samvid Gupta, Joint Managing Director, Gateway Distriparks. “This initiative reinforces our commitment to providing seamless, cost-effective, and sustainable logistics solutions across India.”
EXIM operations from Ankleshwar are expected to begin by the start of the next financial year, coinciding with Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) connectivity to Nhava Sheva. The upcoming development will further boost double-stack capabilities and improve cargo movement efficiency between ports and industrial centres.
