Haryana CM Flags Off First Goods Train From Nangal Chaudhary Logistics Hub

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday flagged off the first goods train from the newly constructed rail yard at the Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) at Nangal Chaudhary in Narnaul in Mahendragarh district. He attributed the project to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and described it as a reflection of the Centre's Viksit Bharat vision. The event marked the commencement of freight operations from the facility and drew interest from several private logistics players.

The state government said the IMLH will serve as a major integrated logistics hub and will strengthen the regional economy by improving freight connectivity and enabling faster movement of goods. Officials noted that Phase one completion would enable subsequent Phase two development and the authorities have been expediting land acquisition and infrastructure works. The facility is being positioned as one of North India's largest logistics hubs once fully completed.

The Chief Minister outlined the broader infrastructure agenda, saying Haryana now has comprehensive highway connectivity across its districts through four lane highways, expressways and greenfield expressways, which will complement the new rail link. The government is pursuing parallel projects, including the Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, to position the state as a leading manufacturing and logistics hub. Officials indicated that combined road and rail connectivity will attract private investment and support industrial development in the region.

Local authorities and state officials will monitor operations at the rail yard as freight services scale up and private participation increases. The launch of the first train will catalyse economic activity in Mahendragarh district and provide logistical support to manufacturing and agricultural supply chains in surrounding areas. Further phases of the project will be implemented according to planned timelines and continued coordination between state departments and central agencies.
