On the occasion of a decade of Make in India, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, today launched Logistics Data Bank (LDB) 2.0 in New Delhi, advancing India’s goal of a digitally empowered, investment-ready, and export-competitive economy. LDB 2.0 provides critical insights into logistics facilities and infrastructure, enabling real-time tracking, performance assessment, and improved planning to reduce costs and enhance efficiency. The system is designed to strengthen supply chains, support businesses, and make India’s logistics ecosystem more competitive and business-friendly.

Developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDSL), LDB 2.0 offers export container tracking on high seas and multi-modal shipment visibility, supporting MSMEs and exporters. The platform integrates road, rail, and sea transport data, including railway FNRs via the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) APIs, and features a live container heatmap for monitoring distribution and preempting bottlenecks.

Shri Goyal said, “LDB 2.0 reflects our commitment to making India an export powerhouse. This initiative empowers exporters with real-time data, advancing India’s journey towards Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
