Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has secured new orders totalling Rs 44.39 bn in the transmission and distribution business. The company received notifications of awards, comfort letters and confirmations of consummation of contract for projects that include a 400 kV transmission line and associated substations in Africa, transmission line projects in India and a substation project in Sweden. The awards were recorded on 24 March 2026 and cover assignments across KPIL and its subsidiaries.

The managing director and chief executive officer said the wins came from marquee clients and will enable the company to leverage its integrated engineering, procurement and construction capabilities. He indicated that the latest orders have pushed the company past its annual order intake target of Rs 260 bn and that the transmission and distribution and Buildings and Factories businesses accounted for nearly 50 per cent and 40 per cent of FY26 year to date inflows respectively. Management added that the T and D business remains a vital pillar of the global energy transition.

KPIL is one of the largest specialised engineering, procurement and construction companies engaged in Power Transmission and Distribution, Buildings and Factories, Water Supply and Irrigation, Railways, Oil and Gas Pipelines, Urban Mobility, Highways and Airports. The awards were received in the normal course of business and are expected to reinforce the company's order book and revenue visibility in the coming quarters. Management said the wins will support continued expansion across key markets and underpin delivery of world class EPC solutions. The company has filed the press release with stock exchanges and furnished requisite disclosures in line with regulatory requirements.
