Mahindra Logistics Opens New Warehouse in Phaltan for Cummins

Mahindra Logistics has inaugurated a 300,000 square foot warehousing facility in Phaltan, Maharashtra, to support the distribution operations of Cummins India. The facility was officially opened on 11 June 2025.

Serving as a centralised distribution hub, the warehouse will handle inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse management, and last-mile dispatch services for Cummins India. The facility aims to streamline product movement by consolidating goods from multiple sources at a single location.

Phaltan’s proximity to Pune and its connectivity to key highways and industrial areas makes it a strategic location for logistics infrastructure. The region has evolved into a major manufacturing and logistics cluster, complementing national industrial growth efforts.

The facility features solar power generation systems and water treatment infrastructure, aligning with Cummins India’s sustainability goals. Mahindra Logistics expects the warehouse to generate over 500 jobs for the local community.

The company noted that this development aligns with its broader strategy to build infrastructure that enhances supply chain efficiency across India’s growing industrial landscape.

Mahindra Logistics is a third-party logistics provider offering supply chain and enterprise mobility solutions to over 400 corporate clients across sectors such as automotive, engineering, consumer goods, and e-commerce. Operating on an asset-light model, the company is part of the Mahindra Group.
