MatchLog Solutions, a pioneer in sustainable logistics and supply chain optimization, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Ocean Network Express (ONE), one of the world’s leading container liner shipping companies, to enable large-scale reuse of import containers for export shipments across Indian ports. The partnership aims to reduce empty container trips, cut turnaround times, and improve network velocity across India’s key EXIM corridors.
With India’s port infrastructure under increasing pressure due to rising trade volumes, optimizing container utilization is critical. The collaboration leverages real-time triangulation and container reuse technology to repurpose incoming containers for outbound shipments, eliminating inefficient movements and unnecessary repositioning.
ONE brings its global fleet and routing predictability to the operations, while MatchLog leverages its AI-powered platform, triangulation engine, and integrated yard ecosystem to ensure high-speed, accurate, and transparent container reuse.
Commenting on the partnership, Dhruv Taneja, Founder & Global CEO, MatchLog Solutions, said: “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to rethinking logistics in India. By working with ONE, we aim to reduce wasteful movement, bring predictability into the container chain, and scale reuse efficiently across the market.”
Masahiro Sakikubo, Managing Director, Ocean Network Express India, added: “We are pleased to partner with MatchLog to operationalize sustainable container logistics in India. This collaboration helps us reduce cost and complexity while supporting our decarbonization goals and improving container turnarounds and planning.”
The partnership aligns with MatchLog’s broader vision to eliminate 10 billion kilometres of unnecessary container movement globally, demonstrating how data-driven, asset-light solutions can enhance efficiency and sustainability in India’s logistics sector.
