Piyush Goyal launches LEAPS 2025 to honour logistics excellence
An initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), LEAPS 2025 aims to benchmark logistics excellence, enhance India’s competitiveness, and align with the National Logistics Policy (NLP) and PM GatiShakti framework.
The programme seeks to recognise innovation, leadership, and best practices across logistics sectors including air, road, sea, and rail freight; warehousing; multimodal operations; MSMEs; startups; and academia. It also promotes sustainability through ESG and green logistics initiatives, fostering collaboration among government, industry, and academia.
Registrations for LEAPS 2025 are open on the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in/ ) until 15 November 2025. Entries are invited across 13 categories covering core logistics, MSMEs, startups, institutions, and special segments such as e-commerce and multimodal service providers.
According to Goyal, LEAPS 2025 marks a new milestone in recognising stakeholders who drive efficiency and innovation in India’s logistics ecosystem, contributing to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
