PM GatiShakti Group Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects
Officials from the Ministries of Road Transport and Highways, Railways, Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Housing and Urban Affairs, and other key departments participated in the review. The deliberations focused on enhancing synergy between ministries to ensure last-mile connectivity, efficient logistics movement, and reduced project costs.
The reviewed projects include major connectivity corridors designed to link industrial hubs with economic zones, ports, and freight terminals, supporting the National Logistics Policy’s objective of reducing logistics costs to single-digit levels.
Since its inception, the NPG has examined over 1100 projects, promoting coordinated planning and ensuring infrastructure development aligns with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. The initiative continues to play a crucial role in strengthening integrated infrastructure planning to drive sustainable economic growth.
