TVS SCS Wins Three-Year Logistics Contract From DICV
Around 700 employees from TVS Supply Chain Solutions will be deployed for the engagement. Under the agreement, the company will manage end-to-end warehouse operations within the plant, aimed at ensuring smooth material flow, optimised inventory management and improved operational efficiency.
The services will use advanced technologies, including IoT-based tracking for real-time visibility, automation-led systems to reduce manual handling, predictive analytics for improved planning and digital dashboards for centralised performance monitoring. These capabilities are expected to strengthen DICV’s production ecosystem and support its focus on efficiency and quality.
Sukumar K, chief executive officer for India and the Middle East and Africa at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said the company’s global experience with Daimler and its expertise in in-plant logistics and automation would help drive measurable efficiencies at the Chennai facility.
C Muthu Maruthachalam, president and chief operating officer of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said efficient in-plant logistics is critical to production success and that partnering with TVS Supply Chain Solutions would enhance operational performance through its technology-driven approach.
Shares of TVS Supply Chain Solutions ended at Rs 106.49 on the BSE on January 12, down Rs 0.66, or 0.62 per cent, from the previous close.
