Antony Waste Unit Wins Rs 13.3 Billion BMC Contracts
The contracts have been awarded to a consortium comprising AG Enviro Infra Projects with a 51 per cent stake, Jigar Transport Company holding 29 per cent, and M. K. Enterprises with 20 per cent. Each contract has a tenure of seven years and covers the collection and transportation of municipal solid waste to designated landfill sites using newly owned vehicles.
Under the first contract, the consortium will manage the collection and transportation of around 650 metric tonnes per day of municipal solid waste from Mumbai’s A, B, C and D wards. This contract is valued at approximately Rs 6.84 billion over the seven-year period. The second contract involves handling about 600 metric tonnes per day from the N, S and T wards and is valued at roughly Rs 6.46 billion for the same duration. Together, the two contracts cover nearly 1,250 metric tonnes per day across key wards of Mumbai.
Antony Waste Handling Cell said neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding authority, and the contracts do not constitute related party transactions. The company added that the agreements provide long-term revenue visibility over the concession period and strengthen its subsidiary’s presence in large-scale urban waste management projects in Mumbai.
Jose Jacob, Chairman and Managing Director of Antony Waste Handling Cell, said the contracts reinforce the group’s leadership in executing large-scale municipal waste operations across India’s urban markets. He added that Mumbai remains a core geography for the group and that the seven-year tenure enhances revenue visibility while supporting sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell ended at Rs 432.20, down Rs 1.45, or 0.34 per cent, on the BSE.
