Bids Invited for UGPL Water Distribution System in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Odisha has issued a call for bids to construct an underground pipeline (UGPL) distribution system for the Turi-Guntat irrigation project located in Nabarangpur district. This project is set to be implemented on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, which will encompass key components such as power connectivity, electro-mechanical installations, and participatory irrigation management (PIM). The scope of work also includes operation and maintenance for a period of five years or five Kharif seasons, whichever is longer.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.12 billion, and the expected completion timeline is 30 months, which accounts for the rainy season. This timeline ensures the necessary infrastructure and systems are in place to manage water distribution effectively in the region.

Interested parties are required to submit their bids by 03 March 2025. The successful contractor will play a vital role in enhancing the irrigation capacity of the area, which will aid in improving agricultural productivity and ensuring a sustainable water supply to local farmers.
