Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the nation's largest construction and demolition waste recycling plant in Jahangirpuri on Sunday, underscoring the pivotal role such facilities play in enhancing the beauty of the national capital. Spanning approximately seven acres, this state-of-the-art plant has the capacity to recycle a remarkable 2,000 tonnes of construction and demolition waste daily, as per an official statement from the Chief Minister's office.

Officials explained that waste collected from various parts of Delhi will be transported to this facility for processing and transformation into valuable products such as tiles and bricks, among others.

During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Kejriwal emphasized the significance of this initiative. He remarked, "After the demolition of a building, debris is kept either on the roads or vacant plots. This leads to debris getting piled up at unusual places."

The inauguration of this colossal recycling plant signifies a significant step towards managing construction and demolition waste more efficiently in the capital city. It aligns with efforts to maintain cleanliness, sustainability, and aesthetics in Delhi's urban landscape.
