GMDA Plans Rs 30 Billion Infrastructure Upgrade in Gurugram
Key projects include the construction of six underpasses along the metro alignment, with an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 Bn, and stormwater drain works at Rs 450 Mn and Rs 250 Mn.To address water supply issues, GMDA proposes replacing the master supply pipeline from Basai Water Treatment Plant to Sector 16 boosting station, costing Rs 1.1 Bn.
Further, Rs 1.34 Bn has been allocated for desilting and strengthening sewer lines to prevent monsoon waterlogging. GMDA also plans to construct three culverts beneath the Delhi-Rewari railway line for utility crossings.
Additionally, the authority seeks approval for transferring 7.251 acres of land from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram for a bus depot at Sector 103, costing Rs 418.9 Mn. Emphasis has been placed on ensuring project feasibility, timely execution, and addressing New Gurugram’s urban infrastructure needs.
