L&T Wins Design Build Operate Order For Guwahati Water Project

Mumbai, March 25, 2026: The Water and Effluent Treatment business vertical of Larsen & Toubro has won a significant design build operate order from the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board in Assam for a water management project intended to deliver safe and continuous water supply to households in South-East Guwahati. The project has been conceived to operate on a 24/7 basis and to improve the reliability of the city's water system. The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising main, a water treatment plant, reservoirs and a booster pumping station. Operation and maintenance for five years is included in the agreement to ensure sustained performance and responsiveness.
