SPML Infra Wins Rs 3.85 Billion Water Project in Rajasthan

Shares of SPML Infra Ltd rose on Friday, 11 July, after the company announced it had secured a water production and supply system project worth approximately Rs 3.85 billion for the Kekri–Sarwar Sector Package-III in Ajmer, Rajasthan. According to the company’s exchange filing, the project has been awarded under the Central Government’s Jal Jeevan Mission and includes a 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) contract.
Scope of the Project:
- Water Treatment Facility: Installation of a 160 MLD water treatment plant in Kekri.
- Storage Infrastructure: Construction of two clear water reservoirs with a combined capacity of 37.75 MLD.
- Transmission Network: Laying and commissioning of a 58.675-kilometre pipeline network.
- Technology Integration: Supply and installation of advanced pumping systems, instrumentation, SCADA systems, and associated electrical, mechanical, and civil works at the WTP Kekri pump house.
- Infrastructure Development: Demolition of existing structures and construction of office buildings and J-2 quarters.
- Smart Monitoring: Real-time operational control via an advanced SCADA system.
- Long-term Operations: A 10-year comprehensive O&M contract for sustained system performance.
Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra Ltd, stated, “The Kekri–Sarwar water supply project will significantly improve water security in Rajasthan and reflects our expertise in executing complex water infrastructure using advanced technology.”
Earlier in the week, SPML also announced the sanction of enhanced non-fund-based credit facilities totalling Rs 2.05 billion, which will support ongoing engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
At 11:15 am on Friday, 11 July, SPML shares were trading at Rs 280.6, up 2.49 per cent. The stock has gained 29.65 per cent over the past month.
