Welspun Wins Rs 31.5 Billion Order For Mumbai Water Plant
In a statement, the company said the project will leverage advanced water management technologies to ensure efficient and sustainable operations. WEL has partnered with Veolia, a global leader in water management systems, as its technology provider for the initiative.
“The project, valued at Rs 31.5 billion, covers civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works, along with the construction of a treated water sump and pumping station,” WEL said.
The total contract value includes an operation and maintenance (O&M) component worth Rs 11.6 billion, while excluding a provisional sum of Rs 290 million, according to the company.
The design-build phase is expected to be completed within 48 months, after which WEL will operate and maintain the facility for 15 years.
Following this award, WEL’s consolidated order book now stands at Rs 163.3 billion, reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s urban infrastructure and water management sector.
